[tri OOM] Barry, Cisco, and File Island
Yamato brings Barry and Cisco out through the same hilltop telephone booth he used to bring Autor through a few weeks back, out onto a cliff with a pretty good view of the island.
The island's central point is a mountain that looks more like a sheer spike of rock, and radiating outwards from it are a lot of very different places: Closest to the mountain, there's a pastel-coloured village of some kind that looks like it might be made of cushions; a tropical jungle with a ruined temple of black and brown stone jutting out of it; and a desert with gear markings carved into the ground and a single, leafy mountain in the centre.
Spreading out further than that, there are forests; some kind of icy tundra; a large town with a glittering white castle; a small village covered by a dark cloud; some kind of factory belching smoke into the air; and a plain covered in railroad tracks and ruined trains. Just down from the cliff, there's a lake with a camp set up next to it.
"All right, File Island," Yamato says, shutting the door. "Oldest part of the Digital World."

"Still, I guess if there's anyone who could troubleshoot tech from another world, it'd be you."

"My sanity level is so high," he mutters. "But yeah, it's -- you might be able to figure something out. And even if you can't, it'll be interesting on an engineering level."
Yamato is still an engineering nerd at heart, after all.

"For real, though, it'll be cool. And totally fine." Cisco promises.

Still, he makes no comment, just keeps walking along bemused.

The third ring is smaller than the other two, and levels out quickly (complete with the mountain suddenly zooming up again, putting them just high enough to see the top of Mount Infinity nearby, barren and rocky with what looks like a building straight out of Ancient Greece on top) onto a flat top with colourful, a few scattered telephone booths, and what appears to be a small lake with a stream leading down the mountain from it.
"All right, we're here," Yamato says. "Top of Mount Panorama."
The mountain offers pretty good views of the island, save for the parts blocked by the looming shape of Mount Infinity. Yamato nods down towards the west, chin aimed towards a sandy beach near a forest along the western coast, just next to the shadowy shape of the Bakemon village.
"That's where the new camp's going to be set up. Best place to build the raft, and the only place to launch it from, even if it does mean we have to circle around the island as soon as we set out."

"Going it all Tom Hanks and Wilson style, huh?" he asks, looking down at the beach Yamato points out.
no subject
"And you've done it before, right?" he asks, looking out at the open water and following the coastline that they'll be circling around.

He shrugs a shoulder. "Once that's done, it's a ten to twelve day journey to Server, making landfall at Tonami Town and resupplying there before we head northwards. It's straightforward, at least, even if none of us are exactly going to enjoy it."

He gives Barry a quick glance, inclining his head. "Yeah, we'll be fine. Between the long working days, the voyage, and the march through the desert, I'm not sure any of the others are going to like me much when we're done," he says, more joking than anything, "but they all know how to follow orders, which is more important than whether I'm on their Christmas card lists this year."

Sea voyages and deserts and long days of hard work can all be Yamato's thing.

Yamato is still very proud of Cisco's racing skills.
"True enough," he says to Barry, wryly. "They've had six years to get used to me being a tyrant, after all."
He pauses, then reaches into his pocket to pull out a napkin. "If you two are done taking pictures, I can probably use one of these telephone booths to get us back to the bar."

He takes a couple of last pictures of the scenery, then waves at Barry and Yamato.
"Wait, c'mon, bring it again. One more for the road," he says, indicating the camera and preparing for a selfie.

"I'm not snuggly! Y-you're snuggly," he mutters, embarrassed (if, also, maybe, a little bit pleased -- 'snuggly' is not necessarily something people usually ascribe to him! But it feels nice!).
He shuffles over to stand behind Cisco as well, leaning down. He's still not looking at the camera, and he's still bright red, but he's in frame, at least.

After Cisco has snapped off a few Barry straightens and turns to Yamato.
"Thanks for bringing us, man. It's been pretty cool." And a lot of fun.
no subject
He holds still, scowling off to one side as Cisco takes his pictures, before straightening up and taking a step back, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Thanks for coming. I don't exactly get to show off this place to many people," he says.
no subject
"I dig this place," he says. "I don't know about the penguins, ghosts and that desert you'll be crossing, but everything else we saw today was pretty awesome."
