AU Week 2018: Superhero AU

A hundred years ago, people began manifesting superpowers -- mostly small and inconsequential, some more impressive. Today, 98% of people have at least one superpower, with 40% possessing two or more, and 3% possessing three -- leading to, among other things, a boom in superpowered crime and government-sanctioned, corporate-backed superheroes facing them.

With that has come sponsorships, a ranking system, and an expectation that superheroes be public-facing, charismatic celebrities.

Yamato Ishida is the rookie superhero Indigo Fang, based out of an Odaiba agency, where he is one of two heroes interning under the #1 pro hero, Daigo Nishijima, the superhero Wild Tiger. With sponsorships from Coca-Cola, Bandai, Toei Animation, and Toyota, he's doing fairly well for himself, even if he does have to put up a public persona of being a smiley, cheerful sort of guy.

He has the superpowers of Commanding Voice, an ability that, if not suppressed, allows him to force people to obey verbal commands he gives them; and Gravity, which allows him to manipulate gravitons around him for a variety of purposes.
