[tri OOM] Odaibananigans with Barry and Cisco

When Yamato opens the door to the safehouse and ushers Barry and Cisco through, it's not as busy as it usually is, but there are still a few people milling around the main room of the apartment.

Sora and Jyou are both at the kitchen table, Sora carefully working on a flower arrangement while Jyou reads through a medical textbook and scribbles notes. Nearby, on the couch, with a laptop resting on his knees, is a boy who looks almost identical to Yamato, minus a few years and with much more boyish features.

Yamato carefully shuts the door behind them. "Welcome to Chez Chosen, I guess," he says, crossing to the kitchen table to pick up his digivice and clip it to his belt.

"Cool," Barry says. "Let's go check out that coaster."

He pauses and adds, "If you guys are all done eating... "

Barry looks to make sure.

"I'm good," Cisco says, slurping the last of his soda.

There's a quick scramble from Yamato and Taichi to grab the last of the pizza slices. Taichi's quicker, and ends up with several stuffed in his cheeks like a squirrel, while Yamato bares his fangs and gives an irritable growl.

After a second, Yamato remarks "Yeah, we're done eating."

Taichi gives a silent thumbs up.

"Rollercoaster admission is down on the second floor," Yamato says, standing up, as Taichi hurriedly chews.

Cisco leans back in his seat, making sure all of his digits and limbs are safe from the feeding-frenzy.

"And now I know for sure, if I ever get stranded with any of my friends I'll be the first one eaten," he says grimly.

"Glad I didn't have to fight you guys for mine," Barry laughs, getting up and following the group.

"Man, you'd caramelise so well if we cooked you over a low heat," Yamato says to Cisco, encouragingly.

Taichi nods somberly, glancing at his phone as he finishes swallowing the pizza. "Well, Jyou says yes to an Ikkakumon ride."

"You know I bet you're right," Barry says to Yamato, thoughtful and grinning. "With all the sugar and junk he eats, you wouldn't even need a glaze."

[makes_the_toys]

"Cannibals," Cisco grumbles at the two before perking up for Taichi.

"Yeah? Sweet! Tell him Cisco says, 'Thanks for being cool and also not a human flesh-eater.'"

"Serve him with some steamed leeks and a salad and he'd be a great meal," Yamato says agreeably, starting down the stairs.

"I'll tell him that," Taichi chirps to Cisco. "-- Although I don't know if seals are any less man-eating than wolves."

"Good to know with Cisco around we'll never go hungry," Barry laughs, looking up to watch the roller coaster whip around a turn.

[makes_the_toys]

"I'll take my chances with the seal," Cisco replies. "And maybe pack some salmon rolls for distraction, just in case."

[angry_friendship_wolf]

"Cisco~," Yamato whines mournfully, settling his chin on Cisco's shoulder as they walk, giving him wide, soulful puppydog eyes. "You don't even need both kidneys. Your liver will grow back. Cisco. Cisco."

[run_barry]

"He might," Barry notes with a clinical tone. "With all the sodas and caffeine he drinks his kidneys probably take a beating. His liver, too."

[makes_the_toys]

"Can we just get on the roller coaster?" Cisco says, reaching a hand up to shove Yamato's face off his shoulder.

"The next time you guys need me to make you something cool I'm going to be all like, 'Remember that time you wanted to carve me up and serve me as a buffet? Yeah, you can go get your proton jetpack from someone else.'"

Yamato makes a sad noise as his face is shoved away. How could you, Cisco. How could you refuse his totally reasonable request. He is so hungry.

But the rollercoaster is nearby now, so he and Taichi quickly busy themselves handing over the group's passes to get stamped.

"We're lucky there aren't many queues today," Taichi notes, leading them into one of the cars.

Barry slides into a seat, folding his long legs into the car and clearing the way for the safety bar to go down.

"Yeah," he replies with a nod to Taichi. "Nice not to have to wait in line a long time."

[makes_the_toys]

"Dude, no amount of puppy dog eyes are going to get me to give over my liver," Cisco says to Yamato while climbing into the car.

[angry_friendship_wolf]

"You're barely even using it," Yamato mutters, sullenly.

He and Taichi climb into the car behind Barry and Cisco, with Yamato taking a moment to get his legs settled comfortably, tugging down their own safety bar.

"Come to think of it, this'll be Yama's first time on this rollercoaster, too," Taichi remarks.

"Glad we could help you get out, man," Barry says, turning around to throw Yamato a smile.

[makes_the_toys]

"Still not giving it to you," Cisco says, patting his side to show his liver is going to stay right where it's at.

Yamato flashes a smile at Barry, ducking his head, as Taichi snorts.

"Yeah, left to his own devices, Yamato would spend all day every day working," he remarks.

As he talks, the rollercoaster starts moving, slowly at first but quickly picking up speed.

[makes_the_toys]

"All work and no play makes Jack a-- whoa!" Cisco starts to say over his shoulder, then faces forward and grabs onto the bar quickly as the coaster starts to pick up speed.

Barry laughs and waits eagerly as they top the first hill, then throws his arms into the air as the car hits the drop and dives.

Yamato is fairly stoic as the rollercoaster picks up speed, but Taichi absolutely isn't, giving a scream at the first dive.

It doesn't take long for them to hit top speed, though, and before long they're winding their way through the building, passing through tunnels between floors every so often.

It's a laugh riot between Barry and Cisco as they alternate from screaming and shouting to laughing out loud as the coaster whips them around.

As they start heading into another drop Barry takes notice of a rig up ahead and shouts out, "Everyone say, 'Cheese!'"
